Today is papa's 29th birthday. We are so thankful for him and all he does for us. Nothing we could say would do his greatness justice. Love you so much papa!
Labor day is all about child labor, right? No? Oh, okay. Sorry, Si. Grandma & grandpa chicken came up for the weekend. We put them to work around the house and yard. Plants were identified, weeds were pulled, lights were installed, gates were fixed, remodel plans were made. We are so thankful for their help. Once they headed home, we got to work on the bedroom. Whoever decided decoupage wallpaper was a good idea is goofy. We're ripping, peeling, priming and painting. It's fun having an old house and a child to do all the work ;)
These two. They are best buds. They are crazy about each other, and it is so sweet. By the way, don't mind the finger blob in the middle two pictures. Oh, in other news, we adopted a new kitty this week. Her name is meow meow. She's been hiding in the basement since arriving. One day I'll get a picture of her.
Yesterday I celebrated my 27th birthday. It's been a stressful trip because of car troubles, but we managed to make the most of it by hitting up a few thrift stores and a little bakery for some late night treats. Today we found a park along the lake to explore. Si really enjoyed throwing rocks into the water; he could have spent hours there. It's so fun getting to see the world through his eyes as he grows.
We're spending a few days in Toronto for papa's work conference. This is only mama's second time outside of the country and your first! We drove up yesterday, and after a short detainment at the border, made it to the city. The metric system is messing me up a bit and our car is being a biznatch still, but we had a great first day at the zoo.
We met up with a few mama & baby friends at the county fair for some food and fun. Si was obsessed with the farm animals. He ran around herding the goats and terrorizing the giant bunny. After much sanitization, we ate a funnel cake and called it a day before the rain came.
Tomorrow is Aaron & my 6 year anniversary <3 He's the best husband and an even better father. Love him forever.
