The farm, a.k.a. the cabin, is a special place. Papa came here as a kid. Then I came once we started dating. And now we get to bring Silas here. It is a great place to be. This was Silas' first trip to the farm and I'd say it was about time! :) He finally got to meet his aunt, uncle and cousin which was so exciting. We had such a great time! Thanks for hosting us grandma & grandpa Collie.
Today you are 4 months old! I cannot believe how fast you
are growing. I don’t think I wrote you a 3 month note unfortunately. Okay so
this past month you have grown a ton! We haven’t had your checkup yet, so I’m
not sure exactly how much you weigh, but you’re heavy. And long. Maw maw is
worried that you can’t roll over yet but I think you are just fine. You can
hold your head up well and you are so strong. Tummy time is not your favorite
unless you are on papa’s tummy. You also reallllly want to stand up. Recently
you get very grumpy when we put you in the carseat. You used to LOVE going for
rides, but I think you are just too interested in being up and seeing what’s
going on now. You are all smiles when you aren’t having a fit. Your fits only
happen a couple times a day. You’ve been sleeping like a pro! Mama has taught
you well J
You will be a champion napper like mama and may may. I’m thinking a sleep
regression will come sooner or later, but for now you generally only eat once
or twice during the night. We’ve been to Macomb twice now and we are getting
ready for a big trip to the farm to meet your aunt, uncle and cousin Kaden!
Papa wanted to celebrate his first father's day at the zoo, so to the zoo we went. Baby and papa got in for free which was awesome. We arrived mid-afternoon and all the animals seemed to be eating lunch or taking naps, but as the day went on more and more animals came out to 'play'. Silas met the camels, rhinos, lions, tigers, meerkats, otters, penguins, monkeys, peacocks, an owl and a giant rabbit. Speaking of peacocks, did you know they are extremely noisy? Oh yeah, and they can fly. Duh. Papa nor I realized that. Hahaha. We heard these loud noises coming from up in the tall trees and were all like 'whoa! peacocks can fly?!' Embarrassing, yes, but funny all the same. Good thing Silas isn't old enough yet to know his parents are dummies. Anywho, we all had a great time (even though I got sprayed by a tiger) and I can't wait to take Si back when he's a little bigger!
A few pictures from mawmaw and pawpaw Fisher's visit to the mitten. We took a little roadtrip over to the westside of the state for a couple days and explored Holland, Grand Haven and Saugatuk. Much fun was had. Come visit again soon!
